The complete Job Day workflow, from login to final sign-off β including live GPS tracking.
The Crew App walks with you through seven stages. Each is a set of taps you make on your phone as the job moves forward.
1. Get set up - Download the app and log in. Do this once.
2. Find your jobs - Use the Jobs list or the Calendar, then open each job and check the details before you leave the yard.
3. Roll out - Send the customer an ETA, clock in your prep time, and start the job.
4. On-site walkthrough - Review the estimate, elect or confirm valuation, photograph existing damage, capture the Shipper Authorization.
5. Run the move - Clock through Pack, Load, Drive, Unload, Unpack. Take photos. Track breaks.
6. Destination walkthrough - Confirm everything is off and placed, capture the delivery acknowledgement, then finalize your time.
7. Close out - Customer signs the BOL, add a tip, collect payment, and tap Complete Job.
1. Download the Crew App from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
2. Log in with the email and password your office set up for you.
3. Confirm you land on the Jobs list and can see at least one assigned job.

β Empty Jobs List?
Your account may not be provisioned, or no Work Order has been dispatched yet.
βοΈ Contact your office before Job Day.

π DO THIS: Take 90 seconds on every job before you leave the yard. Confirm the customer name and phone, both addresses, your crew, and the truck. If anything is wrong β wrong address, missing crew member, wrong truck β message dispatch now. Not at 7 AM. Not on the road. Now.
Tap the orange ETA button on the job card. The customer gets a branded text with your company name, your name, and the arrival window, and the event is logged on the office timeline.
π PRO TIP: Send the ETA when you are 15 to 20 minutes away, not when you leave the yard. A 'we're on our way' text 90 minutes early creates anxiety, not reassurance.

Tapping Start Job begins the customer's billing clock. A live timer and running cost appear, the six-stage pipeline unlocks, and the office sees the job move to In Progress.

π IMPORTANT: If your office has turned on mandatory estimate signature, you cannot clock out of the walkthrough until the customer has e-signed the estimate on your device.
Tap Clock Into Walkthrough on arrival. This is billable time, so set expectations at the door: βBefore we start, I need about twenty minutes to walk through the home with you, review the estimate, and take some photos. This protects both of us.β
Walk the customer through the estimate: scope, line items, and pricing. When you finish, capture their e-signature on the estimate. If the mandatory estimate signature is on, the app holds you here until it is signed.
Check whether the customer already elected and signed valuation coverage during the sales process (the e-sign step).

When you open the Valuation panel (its header shows the year and service type, e.g. "2025 Local"):

1. Present the option. Basic Coverage is Released Value Protection at 60 cents per pound per article. Explain it plainly: "If we damage a 50-pound dresser, the maximum under basic coverage is $30."
2. Declared value β the customer enters the total declared value, and the app calculates units, rate, and amount.
3. Confirm exclusions β read the exclusion list aloud β electronics, antiques, fine art, musical instruments, glassware, marble or glass tops, and anything with pre-existing damage. If they want extra coverage for excluded items, call dispatch to arrange supplemental valuation.
4. Capture the signature β the customer signs. The election writes to both the Work Order and the Bill of Lading, and a green checkmark appears.
π PRO TIP Even a customer who elected coverage during the sales call should confirm it on-site. A sixty-second confirmation prevents a six-week claims dispute β as one supervisor learned when a 40-pound TV worth $2,000 was damaged and basic coverage capped the payout at $24. The signed, timestamped election is what protects the company.

π IMPORTANT The BOL signature chain: The Bill of Lading collects three signatures at three moments, and all three assemble into one BOL PDF. For interstate moves, the complete chain is a regulatory requirement, not a best practice:
(1) Shipper Authorization β dual, Shipper plus Carrier, during the walkthrough;
(2) Pickup Acknowledgement β Shipper, after loading, before the truck leaves origin (Section 5);
(3) Delivery Acknowledgement β Shipper, after unloading, before the crew leaves destination (Section6).
Which waivers appear is set by Service Type, so an interstate move carries different paperwork than a local one.
Tap an activity to start its clock; tap Stop to end it.
Only one activity runs at a time, and the running cost updates live. Move through π¦ Pack β π Load β π£οΈ Drive β π¦ Unload β π Unpack β β Post Job, skipping any that do not apply.
β οΈ WATCH OUT: Clock out of one activity before clocking into the next. The most common mistake is forgetting to leave Load before starting Drive, which inflates loading time and skews your margins.

The Photos section is available at every stage. Capture fragile items before wrapping, the truck load configuration, and placement at delivery. Photos are timestamped and geotagged.
π IMPORTANT: The Crew App does not save photos taken with no signal. In a basement or rural dead zone, use your phone's normal camera instead and upload the photos to the Work Order once you are back in range.
Use START BREAK to pause the billable clock and END BREAK to resume. Break time is tracked for payroll but never charged to the customer. Do not clock out of an activity to take a break; use the break button so your timeline stays clean.

This is the mirror of the origin walkthrough, and the final fifteen minutes generate more claims than the first four hours of labor. Slow down at the finish line.
1. Confirm every tagged item is off the truck.
2. Verify furniture is placed where the customer wants it, and beds, desks, and shelving are reassembled and stable.
3. Do a final damage sweep through high-value and fragile items with the customer.
4. Invite the customer to physically look inside the empty truck. It is the strongest proof nothing was left behind.
5. Photograph placement of major items in final position and any pre-existing property damage at the destination.

Add any material charges from the job first β wardrobe boxes, shrink wrap, specialty surcharges β because you cannot add them from the app after finalizing. Then review the time breakdown and tap FINALIZE WORK ORDER.
π IMPORTANT: Finalizing locks all time entries permanently. Once you confirm, no one can add or edit clock-in and clock-out records from the app. Review the time breakdown before you tap Finalize.

Review the Activity Summary with the customer first, then hand them the device to sign. The signature is the last thing they do, and it is timestamped and geotagged. A signed, timestamped BOL is your legal anchor if a dispute ever arises.
The Add Tip screen appears after the signature β the moment of highest gratitude, which is exactly why it is on the device and not a follow-up email.
The Movegistics Crew App also lets you collect a Rating & Review directly from your customer right after finalizing the work order. It's a quick 5-star rating with an optional written review, captured on-site before payment β helping you build customer feedback into every completed job.

The app accepts Cash, Check, Card, ACH, and Other. Card and ACH process through your payment gateway. On multi-day moves, any unpaid balance from an earlier day is surfaced alongside today's total so nothing slips through.
For cash or check, photograph the payment as proof (the bills fanned out, or the check face). It takes five seconds and prevents a five-hour reconciliation dispute. Do not tap Skip.

βοΈ Complete Job
Tapping Complete Job fires five things automatically: the BOL PDF is generated, income is posted, crew payroll is calculated, material costs are recorded, and the Work Order flips to Complete. Collect payment before you complete the job, so the payment is captured on the record.

Your office can see your crew on a live map while you work a dispatched job. Four things make you appear on it. Share these with every crew member who carries the app.

π Log in early. Log in at the start of your shift, before you leave the yard β not when you reach the customer. If you are not logged in, you will not show up.
π Allow location. The first time, your phone asks permission to use your location. Tap Allow. If you tapped Don't Allow before, open phone Settings, find the Crew App, tap Location, and set it to Allow While Using the App.
π± Keep the app open. The app has to stay open to share your location. If you close it or swipe it away, your dot drops off the office map. Leave it running in the background.
π Have a job assigned. You appear once a Work Order is dispatched to you. No active job means no dot.
Good to know: you drop off the map when you tap Complete Job, which is normal β you reappear on your next pickup. You are only visible while working a dispatched job, not around the clock.
β οΈ WATCH OUT
Not showing up on the office map?
β Check, in order: Are you logged in?
β Is the app open, not closed?
β Did you allow location?
β Do you have a dispatched Work Order right now?
If all four are yes and you still do not appear, tell your location manager so they can report it.
The Crew App does not queue work offline. In known dead zones: use your phone's normal camera for photos and upload later, and if the signal drops at signature time, fall back to a paper BOL for a wet-ink signature and have the office enter it when you are back in range. Confirm you have a signal before starting any signature step.
If something goes wrong on-site, use the app's escalation to reach dispatch rather than working around it. Your office would rather hear about a problem at the customer's door than discover it in the paperwork that night.
