We’ve added 4 powerful updates to make managing inventory and shipments more secure, flexible, and efficient.

🆕 What’s New?

1️⃣ Download Inventory Item Images

• You can now download images of inventory items directly from CMS and the Customer Portal.
• Navigate to Shipment → Item Details → Click on the image → Download option.
  
  ✅ Great for record-keeping, customer sharing, or internal documentation.
  

2️⃣ Control Worker Permissions with “View Items” Checkbox

• A new “View Items” permission has been added to Worker profiles.
• By default, it’s enabled (workers can view items). You can uncheck it under User → Edit User → View Items.
  

Scenarios:

• ✔ Checked → Worker can view items in the More Inventory App.
• ✖ Unchecked → Worker cannot view items.
• Supervisor role → Can always view items, regardless of checkbox.
  
  ✅ Ideal for companies handling valuable shipments where item details should only be visible to supervisors.
  

3️⃣ Item-Level: Customer Comments & Internal Notes

• The old “Other Notes” field has now been renamed Customer Comments.
• Added a new Internal Notes field (visible only to your team).
• Comments & Notes added to an item in the App will sync with CMS.
• You can add more Comments & Notes later under CMS → Shipment → Item Details.
  
  ✅ Keeps customer communication separate from internal instructions.

4️⃣ Default QR Scan Option for Shipments

• You can now set a default QR scan requirement in Shipment Types.
• Once enabled, workers must scan QR codes to add items (manual label entry will be disabled).
• By default, this setting is OFF, but can be enabled under:
  Settings → Edit Shipment Type → Stage 1 (Under Add Items to Inventory - Default QR Scan).
  
  ✅ Designed for companies who fully rely on QR scanning and want to prevent manual entry errors.
