Commercial multi-day moves now price themselves day by day. When a work request with the Commercial service type carries a multi-day move, your configured default line items populate automatically on every day of the move β not just the first. Each day of a commercial job consumes its own crew, trucks, equipment, and fuel, and those are exactly the charges companies set as Commercial defaults β so now they land on each day's pricing tab the moment the pricing loads, ready to adjust.
For a coordinator pricing a three-day office relocation, that's the repetitive per-day line entry gone: the same line items appear on every day, and only the quantities and hours need tuning to match each day's crew and truck count.
What's New
- Defaults on every day: on Commercial work requests with a multi-day move, default line items now auto-populate on all of the move's days when the pricing loads β previously they populated on the first day only.
- Each day stays independent: quantities, rates, and hours are editable per day, and any auto-added line can be changed or removed on any day without affecting the others.
- Commercial only, by design: residential and all other service types keep the existing behavior β defaults on day one, with later days used for follow-on activities of the same priced job.
Who This Is For
- Commercial movers pricing office relocations and other projects that span multiple days
- Sales teams and estimators who price labor, trucks, and equipment per day or per sequence
- Move coordinators who no longer rebuild the same line items manually on every day after day one
- Owners and managers who want standardized, consistent per-day pricing with fewer chances for omissions
βοΈ How to Configure
- Set up the pricing category: go to Settings (gear) β General β Categories and create a category mapped to the Commercial service type.
Settings (1) β General (2) β Categories (3) β a category mapped to Commercial (4)
- Create the line item under that category on the Line Items tab.

Line Items (3): the line item created under the Commercial category (4)
- Create the default on the Default Line Items tab: select the service type, the category, the pricing section it should populate (Transportation Labor, Packing Materials, Packing Labor, Crating, Additional Services, or Storage), the line item, and give the default a name.

Default Line Items (3): a Commercial default mapped to its category, pricing section, and line item (4)
- Create a Commercial work request and add its days with Add Multi Day Move.
A Commercial work request with a multi-day move β here, a Pickup day and a Delivery day
- Open Edit Move Pricing: the first day shows the default line items in their configured pricing section, as always.

Day one: the default line item populated under Additional Line Items (1)
- Switch to any other day of the move β the same defaults are already there too. Adjust each day's quantities, hours, and rates independently, or remove a line where it doesn't apply.

Day two: the same default, auto-populated (2) β no manual re-entry
Good to Know
- Scoped to Commercial: this behavior applies only to the Commercial service type. Residential and every other service type continue to populate defaults on the first day only, where later days are activities of a single priced job.
- Built for charges that repeat: set your per-day charges β crew labor, trucks, equipment, fuel β as Commercial defaults, and keep one-time charges like packing materials or valuation out of the default set so they're added once, as today.
- Every line stays yours to edit: auto-populated lines are normal line items β change the quantity or rate on one day, delete on another, and the job's grand total sums correctly across all days.
- The full setup chain matters: a default needs its category mapped to the service type and its line item created under that category β if a default isn't appearing, check those two mappings first.

This enhancement is live for all accounts. If your Commercial defaults are already configured under Settings β General β Default Line Items, there's nothing to do β your next multi-day commercial work request prices every day automatically.
