The commission sections on the work order Expenses tab now tell the whole payout story at a glance. Every Worker, Sales, and Contractor commission row shows a Description naming the exact pricing categories the commission comes from, with the calculated amount filled into the Rate column automatically β and a detailed view breaks each category down into its base amount, commission percentage, and the dollar amount earned.
You can also now add a worker and their commission directly on the same screen: pick the worker, pick the commission plan, click the Calculate Commission icon, and the system computes everything for you β no more typing commission amounts in by hand.
What's New
- Description column: each commission row now names the pricing categories it applies to (for example, Transport Labor and Packing Labor), so it's clear what every amount is for.
- Auto-calculated Rate: the Rate column populates with the calculated commission value straight from the percentage rules in the worker's commission plan.
- Full calculation detail: the view (eye) icon opens a View Calculation window showing the commission type and move type, and β per category β the base amount, the commission percentage, and the resulting dollar amount, with the grand total beneath.
- Add workers in-line: add a row right on the commission screen, select the worker and their commission plan, and click the Calculate Commission icon to compute their payout β useful when someone joins the job at closeout.
- Everywhere commissions live: the same enhancements apply across Sales Commissions, Worker Commissions, and Contractor Commissions.
Who This Is For
- Owners and managers who want every payout traceable back to the services that earned it
- Payroll and back-office teams reconciling commissions at the end of a job
- Sales reps and move coordinators verifying their own numbers
- Operations teams who add workers to a job during or after closeout
π§ How to Use It
- Open a completed work order and go to Expenses. Pick the commission section you need from the left menu β Sales Commissions, Worker Commissions, or Contractor Commissions. Each row shows the worker, their commission plan, the Description of the categories it covers, the calculated Rate, and the Total.

A newly added worker, calculated in one click β covering Transport Labor and Packing Labor

Good to Know
- Descriptions come from Itemized and Line Items plans: those two commission types are built on specific pricing categories, so the system can name them. Revenue-based and Tiered plans calculate on overall revenue, so their rows don't carry a category description.

- Recalculate on demand: whenever you add a worker or change their commission plan, click the Calculate Commission icon to refresh the description and amounts.
- Clean math: additional deductions β convenience fees, sales tax, service tax, and tips β are excluded before the commission is calculated, so payouts are based on true service revenue.
- Setup is unchanged: commission plans are still created under Settings β Commissions and assigned to users, workers, and contractors the same way as before β this enhancement is all about visibility and speed at payout time.
