Packing materials now read the same way everywhere. The clean Container / Pack / Unpack grid you know from the pricing tab — each material with its own quantity, rate, and total per service — now carries through the work order's Income and Expenses tabs, prints on your BOL documents as a Custom Packing Services table, and powers the Finalize Work Order flow in the Crew App, where crews can review, edit, and add materials right in the grid.
What's New
- Grid format across the CRM: Income → Packing Materials and Expenses → Packing Materials now use the same grid as the pricing tab — previously those tabs showed packing materials as flat line items.
- Grid on BOL documents: the BOL now includes a Custom Packing Services table — every carton type with its Containers, Packing, and Unpacking quantities, rates, and charges — on both pre-move and actual BOLs, for local and interstate moves alike, and on the work order summary.
- Grid in the Crew App: the Packing Materials section of Finalize Work Order shows each material as an expandable card with its Container / Pack / Unpack breakdown — edit quantities or delete via the three-dot menu.
- Duplicate-proof adding: the Add list in the app offers only the packing materials not already in the grid, with rates populated from your settings.
- Additional line items in the app too: the same Additional Line Items section you have in the CRM appears at finalize — edit the default line, or add more by category and item.
- Full round trip: materials and line items the crew adds at finalize flow back into the CRM's Income tab once the work order completes.
Who This Is For
- Crews finalizing work orders in the field — see and adjust exactly what was used, box by box
- Back office and billing teams reconciling packing charges across pricing, income, and expenses in one consistent format
- Owners and managers who want the BOL to show customers a clear, itemized packing breakdown
- Dispatchers and coordinators comparing estimated vs. actual packing materials at a glance
🧭 How to Use It
In the Crew App
- On Finalize Work Order, open the Packing Materials section.

Packing Materials on the Finalize Work Order screen
- Each material shows as a card with its total — expand any card for the Container / Pack / Unpack breakdown with quantity, rate, and total per service.

…expanded to show the Container, Pack, and Unpack lines
- Use the three-dot menu to Edit quantities or Delete a material — totals update as you type.

Edit or Delete from the card's menu (1)
- Tap Add to add a material. The list shows only materials not already in the grid — no duplicates — and rates fill in from your settings. Additional Line Items work here too, just as in the CRM.

Add New Item: only materials not yet on the work order are offered
On your BOL documents
- The BOL now prints packing materials as a Custom Packing Services grid — containers, packing, and unpacking with quantity, rate, and charges per carton type, plus column totals.

In the CRM
- Open the work order's Income or Expenses tab and click the pencil to edit.

The Income and Expenses tabs on the work order
- Under Income → Packing Materials, the familiar Partial Pack/Unpack grid replaces the old line-item list…

Edit Income: the packing materials grid, matching the pricing tab
- …and Expenses → Packing Materials keeps the very same grid, so costs line up with income column for column.

Expenses: the same grid format for packing supplies
Good to Know
- One format end to end: pricing, income, expenses, BOL, and the Crew App all share the same grid, so a quantity means the same thing wherever you read it.
- The BOL grid is descriptive: as noted on the document itself, the Custom Packing Services charges are a detailed description of the packing services on the first page — not an addition to the total charge.
- No duplicate entries: the app's Add list hides materials already on the work order, so each material lives on exactly one card.
- Crew edits land in the books: anything added or adjusted at finalize shows up in the CRM's Income tab after completion — in the same grid.
Available Now
The packing materials grid is live now across the CRM, BOL documents, and the Crew App — nothing to configure. Open any work order's Income tab or finalize a job in the app and you'll see it in action. Built from customer feedback, as always — keep it coming.
