Work order notes now start from your playbook. The Edit Work Order screen gains a Select Note Template dropdown that pulls from the note templates you maintain under Settings β Sales β Notes β pick one and the standard wording drops straight in, consistent on every job. Prefer to write it fresh? The plain Notes text field is still right below the dropdown, exactly as before.
β¨ What's New
- Select Note Template on Edit Work Order β a new dropdown above the Notes field listing your note templates, so standard operational notes are one click away.
- Powered by your Notes settings β templates are created and edited under Settings β Sales β Notes, each with a title, category, service type, and an active toggle.
- Freeform stays β the plain-text Notes field remains below the dropdown for anything that doesn't fit a template.
π₯ Who This Is For
- Operations managers and dispatchers β who attach the same instructions to work orders every day and want them worded consistently.
- Owners and admins β who standardize crew-facing and internal wording once, in Settings, instead of relying on each dispatcher's memory.
- Teams with per-service playbooks β who keep separate note sets for Local, Interstate, and other service types.
βοΈ How to Configure
- Create your templates under Settings β Sales β Notes (Notes tab): click + to add a note with its title, category, service type, and active toggle β or edit the ones you already have. Notes created here are what populate the work order dropdown.

- On any work order, open Edit Work Order β the new Select Note Template dropdown sits just above the Notes field.

- Pick a template from the list and its content fills the note β then adjust it, pair it with the Show Note To Crew option if the crew should see it, and update the work order.

- Not using a template? Just type into the Notes field below the dropdown, the same as always.

π Good to Know
- Matched to the service type. The dropdown offers the templates for the work order's service type β a Local work order lists your Local notes, keeping the choices short and relevant.
- Active templates only. The Active toggle in Settings controls what appears in the dropdown, so you can retire old wording without deleting it.
- Templates are a starting point. After selecting one, the note is editable like any other β tweak it per job as needed.
