Follow-up time slots organize each day's leads into the queues your sales team works β for example Morning, Mid-Day, and End of Day. Every new lead is placed on the Follow Ups board automatically based on when it arrives, so the team always knows which batch to call next.
One behavior is worth understanding clearly: the day boundary for slotting is midnight, not your first slot's start time. A lead that arrives late in the evening β after your last slot has ended but before midnight β waits under Upcoming Follow Ups for the next day.
The moment the clock passes midnight, new leads (and those waiting ones) belong to the new day and appear under Current Follow Ups in the first slot, even if that slot's start time hasn't arrived yet. Nothing is lost or stuck β it's the design that keeps every lead queued for the right day.
1) Slots live under Settings β Sales β Follow Ups, on the Slots tab. Each slot has a name, a start time, and an end time β in this example: Morning 6:00 AMβ10:00 AM, Mid-Day 10:00 AMβ2:00 PM, End of Day 2:00 PMβ11:00 PM. The toggles control follow-ups overall, lead vs. work request follow-ups, and all-user visibility; Add Slot creates more.

2) A new lead arrives β for example through your website's marketing form β and is created in Sales β Leads with its arrival timestamp.

3) On the Follow Ups board, you'll find three tabs β Current, Missed, and Upcoming Follow Ups β and a Select Slot filter for viewing one slot's queue at a time.

4) Example 1 β a lead at 11:57 PM. This lead was created after the last slot of the day had ended (11:00 PM) but before midnight.

5) Because the day's slots are over, the lead is held under Upcoming Follow Ups β queued for the next day rather than dropped into a slot that's already finished.

6) Example 2 β a lead at 12:09 AM. A few minutes later, just past midnight, another lead arrives.

7) This one lands directly under Current Follow Ups in the Morning slot β even though Morning doesn't start until 6:00 AM. After midnight, the new day's first slot is where new leads belong.

8) And the 11:57 PM lead? Once the clock passed midnight, it moved automatically from Upcoming into the same Morning slot β ready to be worked first thing.
