With this release, Mover Inventory introduces a complete Military Shipment Workflow: a new Military move type, automatic generation of the required Department of Defense (DoD) forms, secure browser-based electronic signatures captured from the customer's own device, real-time signature tracking, and a one-click Closeout Packet that delivers every signed document to your Transportation Service Provider (TSP) as a single PDF.
Use it standalone in Mover Inventory, or create military shipments directly from Movegistics AI CRM and push them to Mover Inventory at dispatch — either way, every stage from shipment creation to closeout is handled in one digital workflow.

⚙️ Before You Start: Configure TSPs, Ranks & Franchise Partners
Mover Inventory adds three new configurations under Settings in the CMS:
- 🚛 Transportation Service Providers (TSP)
- 🎖️ Military Rank List
- 🤝 Franchise Partners
Set these up once, and they populate the corresponding dropdowns every time you create a military shipment.
- TSP List — add each Transportation Service Provider with its name, an optional contact email, and one or more SCAC codes (use + Add Code to register multiple codes per TSP).
- Rank List — maintain military grades (e.g., E-1) along with default Member Pro-Gear (MPRO) and Spouse Pro-Gear (SPRO) weights in lbs. Selecting a Rank/Grade on a shipment carries its pro-gear weights onto the shipment record and forms.
- Franchise Partner — maintain the list of franchise partners available for assignment on military shipments.
🪖 Creating a Military Shipment
Go to Shipments and click + Add Shipment. Select the Shipment Type as usual, then set Move Type to Military.
- Selecting Military reveals a dedicated section of military fields. Four are mandatory:
GBL/BOL Number,
Rank/Grade,
TSP Name, and
SCAC Code. - Additional fields capture the full picture of the move:
Franchise Partner,
Branch of Service,
DODID Number,
TSP Shipment Reference #,
Ordering Activity/Installation,
Code of Service,
Sponsor Name,
Sponsor DODID,
Military Move Type (e.g., HHG, NTS),
SDDC Shipment Number,
Agent Name, and
Hauling Agent/Carrier. - Checkboxes flag special handling:
Dual Military,
Pro-Gear Member,

Is Firearms Shipment,
HVI Expected,
SIT Authorized,
NTS Release, and
SIT. - Finally, three date fields track the schedule:
Counseling Date,
Actual Load Date, and
Required Delivery Date.

📋 Military Forms Management
Military shipments get a new Forms tab in the View Shipment screen. Mover Inventory automatically generates all eight required DoD forms, each pre-filled from the shipment record (customer name, rank/grade, TSP, SCAC, GBL number, and more) and mapped to the inventory action where it applies:
For each form, the tab tracks Sent to Customer and Signed by Customer in real time, and allows you to:
- View required DoD forms
- Edit forms
- Download forms
- Email forms to customers
- Track customer signatures
- Monitor completion status
📧 Email E-Forms to the Customer

When Remove Items from Inventory (Destination) is performed, the system automatically prepares:

Supported DoD Forms
- DoD-HVI (Origin & Destination) — the DoD High Risk/High Value Inventory. Tendered and signed at origin, then verified and signed again at destination.
- DD-619 (Origin & Destination) — Statement of Accessorial Services Performed, completed at both pickup and delivery.
- DP3 Real Property Damage (Origin & Destination) — documents property condition and damage. Property damage exceptions recorded in the system flow into the form's Recorded Property Exceptions table automatically.
- Firearms Declaration — the Firearms Inventory and Declaration for DoD shipments, listing each firearm with make/model, caliber/gauge, and serial number.
- DD-1840 — the DP3 Notification of Loss or Damage at Delivery, capturing any loss or damage noted before the crew departs.
👤 Customer Portal Access
After signing, customers can continue accessing their documents through the Customer Portal.

📦 One-Click Closeout Packet
Once every form shows Signed by Customer, the Send Closeout Packet button is enabled in the CMS Forms tab. One click compiles all eight signed forms into a single PDF and emails it to the TSP.

Select the Military move type while creating a Work Request.
Once selected, the Work Request automatically displays the military-specific shipment fields required for Department of Defense (DoD) moves.
After completing the Work Request, continue your normal workflow:
- Add Inventory
- Book the Move
- Dispatch the Work Order
During dispatch, simply Push the Shipment to Mover Inventory.
The Military Shipment is automatically created in both:
