We’ve introduced a new Associate Work Order enhancement in Movegistics AI that links payments received from a Work Request directly to the corresponding Work Order, ensuring accurate payment tracking and balance reporting.

✨ What’s New?

A new Associate Work Order option is now available within the Payments section of the Work Request Details page.

After receiving a payment in a Work Request, you can associate that payment with the appropriate Work Order, allowing the payment to be reflected in the Work Order’s Income section.

🎯 Why This Matters

Previously, payments collected from a Work Request were recorded only on the Work Request.

As a result:

• Work Orders continued to display the full balance due.
• Payment Received remained $0.00 under the Work Order > Income tab.
• Unpaid customer reports could incorrectly show customers as having outstanding balances even after payment had been collected.

With this enhancement, Work Request payments can now be linked to their corresponding Work Orders, keeping payment information synchronized across both records.

⚙️ How to Use

1. Receive a payment from the Work Request as usual.
2. Open the recorded payment under the Payments section.
3. Click Associate Work Order.
4. Select the appropriate Work Order.
5. Click Save.

The payment will immediately be reflected in the selected Work Order’s Income section.

📝 Important Notes

• Payments must be manually associated with the appropriate Work Order after they are recorded in a Work Request.
• If multiple Work Orders exist (such as for multi-day moves), you can choose which Work Order the payment should be applied to.
• Once associated, the Work Order’s Payment Received and Balance Due are updated automatically.
