We’re excited to introduce the new Void Item feature in Mobile QR Inventory, allowing crews to mark items as void during the Add Items to Inventory stage instead of permanently deleting them. This enhancement preserves a complete inventory history while clearly identifying items that are no longer part of the move.

✨ What’s New?

Previously, if an item was added by mistake or was no longer intended to move, the only option was to delete it from the inventory. This removed the item from the shipment record.

With this enhancement, users can now void an item, keeping it in the shipment history while clearly marking it as excluded from the move.

This provides better auditability, improves documentation, and ensures an accurate record of all scanned items.

📍 Where is this available?

The Void Item option is available only during the Add Items to Inventory stage.

To access it:

1. Open the shipment.
2. During the Add Items to Inventory stage, select View Items.
3. Tap the item you wish to void.
4. Select Void Item from the item actions menu.

📝 Confirming a Void

After selecting Void Item, a confirmation dialog will appear asking: Are you sure you want to void this item?

The dialog includes:

Customer Initials

The Customer Initials field is automatically populated using the shipment details.

Users may also choose the Other option from the dropdown if someone else is authorizing the change.

Reason

A required Reason dropdown includes the following predefined options:

• Customer keeping item (not moving)
• Damaged before move
• Moved by customer separately
• Duplicate scan
• Other

If Other is selected, an additional description field becomes available so users can enter a custom explanation.

✅ Voided Item Status

Once the Customer Initials and Reason have been provided and the item is confirmed:

• The item is marked as Voided.
• A Void (V) badge is displayed on the item card in the Mobile QR Inventory app.
• The void status is retained for historical and audit purposes instead of removing the item entirely.

🌐 Visibility Across the Platform

Voided items are synchronized across the Mover Inventory platform.

The void status is reflected in:

• Mover Inventory CMS
• Customer Portal

In the Show All Items & Add Items to Inventory, the item card will displays a Voided badge, allowing office staff and customers to easily identify items that were excluded from the shipment.
