Weβre excited to introduce the Worker & Contractor Accept/Decline Workflow for the Movegistics Crew App and Crew Board.
This enhancement gives workers and contractors the ability to confirm or decline assigned work orders before arriving at the job, allowing dispatchers to quickly identify crew availability and reassign jobs when necessary.
With real-time acceptance tracking, operations teams gain better visibility into workforce availability while crews have an easy way to communicate whether they can take an assigned job.
The new Accept/Decline Workflow allows workers and contractors to:
β
Accept assigned work orders with a single click
β
Decline jobs when unavailable
β
Provide a decline reason for better communication
β
Automatically update dispatch with their response
β
Display acceptance status directly on the Work Order details page
Previously:
β Workers had no simple way to acknowledge assigned jobs before arriving.
β Dispatchers had to manually follow up by phone or message.
β There was no visibility into whether a worker had accepted or declined an assignment.
Now:
β
Workers can confirm assignments immediately.
β
Dispatchers know exactly who is available.
β
Decline reasons are recorded for future reference.
β
Accepted and declined statuses are visible in real time.
β
Reduces scheduling confusion and improves crew coordination.
The Accept/Decline workflow is controlled at two levels to give administrators complete flexibility.
Navigate to: Settings β Crew App β General β App Permissions
β Enable Accept/Decline Workflow
You can configure this separately for each service type, including:
Only the enabled service types will allow workers to accept or decline assignments.

Next, navigate to: Settings β Resources β Workers
Edit the desired worker and enable: β Allow To Decline WorkOrder
Once enabled, that worker can accept or decline assigned jobs.

After assigning workers in the Assign tab, proceed to dispatch the Work Order from the Dispatch tab as usual.

Inside the Crew Board, workers can review:
Workers with permission will now see two new buttons:
β Confirm
β Decline

If the worker clicks: Decline
A dialog box appears requesting a reason.
Examples:
The worker submits the decline reason.

After declining:
β The reason is stored with the Work Order.
Example:
Decline Reason: Assigned to another job
This gives dispatch complete visibility into why the assignment was rejected.

Dispatchers can monitor worker responses directly from:
Work Order details Page β Dispatch β Assign Team
Each assigned worker displays a status badge:
π’ Accepted
π΄ Declined
Hovering over the badge displays the workerβs decline reason, making it easy to understand why the assignment was rejected.
This allows dispatchers to quickly identify unavailable crew members and reassign jobs without additional phone calls or follow-up.

The same workflow is also available inside the Crew App.
If a worker does not respond through the Crew Board, they can still:
β Accept the assignment
or
β Decline the assignment
directly from the Crew App.

Once a worker accepts:
β The Work Order remains assigned.
β The Start Job button becomes available when itβs time to begin the job.
The worker can continue through the normal Crew App workflow.

Once a worker declines:
β The Work Order is removed from that workerβs Crew App.
Dispatch can immediately assign another available worker.
The decline reason remains attached to the Work Order for future reference.
