• We’re introducing a new Shipper Authorization section and enhanced workflow in the Crew App to ensure full compliance with FMCSA and industry standards for Non-Binding moves.
• This feature enforces pre-move authorization before any work begins, ensuring movers and customers complete mandatory signatures prior to starting the job.

🔄 How It Works:

🧾 For Non-Binding Moves (Mandatory)

• The Shipper Authorization section is mandatory before starting the job.
• Until the shipper authorization is signed:
• • Only the Pre-Move activity will be active.
  • All other activities (Pack, Load, Unload, Unpack, etc.) will remain greyed out and inaccessible.
• Once both shipper and carrier complete the signatures:
• • All activities are unlocked for standard use.

🧩 Compliance Purpose:
This ensures compliance with FMCSA guidelines by requiring the customer’s written authorization before handling begins.

⚙️ Where to Find It:

📍 Location: Crew App → Under the “Estimates” section
A new standalone panel titled “Shipper Authorization” has been added directly below the Estimates section.

This section includes:

• A digital signature capture field for both Shipper (Customer) and Carrier (Crew Supervisor).
• Clear visibility and accessibility before any on-site activities begin.

📦 For Binding, Not-to-Exceed, Intrastate, and Local Moves (Optional)

• The Shipper Authorization section will still appear beneath the Estimates section.
• However, it will be optional — all activities remain available even if the authorization is not signed.
• This allows companies to adopt consistent documentation practices without mandatory enforcement.
