This is where the supervisors sets the tone for a smooth, professional move. It’s all about clarifying expectations, reviewing valuation, inspecting items, completing required waivers, and getting customer sign-off before any physical work begins.
1️⃣ Review the Estimate with the Customer (if applicable)
2️⃣ Confirm Valuation Selection (if not already selected in the estimate)
3️⃣ Document Pre-Existing Damage
4️⃣ Complete Origin Forms
5️⃣ Ask About Special Requests or Exceptions
Before the crew moves forward to packing or loading, instructs your crews on the following:
✅ A selected and signed valuation option (if not pre-selected and if applicable)
✅ Necessary waivers completed OR a note explicitly marked “Waivers not needed”
✅ Walkthrough photos uploaded OR a note explicitly marked “Photos not needed”
✅ Use the orange Notes icon at the top to document anything unusual — all notes are timestamped and saved in the CRM
✅ Encourage the crew to add notes if the customer mentions anything verbally that isn’t already documented
✅ Take wide-angle shots of tricky access points (e.g., staircases, narrow hallways) to prevent later disputes
✅ If your crew is prepping the property before the move begins, take photos of the prepping work as proof — especially for high-end or fragile areas
✅ If a customer refuses to sign a form or select a valuation, note it immediately and notify dispatch
✅ Even if there’s no damage to report, taking "before" photos of high-value areas adds an extra layer of protection
