📖 Description
- Movegistics 5.0 now supports UTM (Urchin Tracking Module) tracking, empowering moving companies to measure the true performance of their marketing campaigns — directly inside your CRM.
- With this update, Movegistics can now automatically capture, store, and report UTM parameters (Source, Medium, and Campaign) from third-party lead API integrations. This enables you to know exactly which marketing channels and campaigns are generating high-quality leads and bookings.
⚙️ Where to Find It
Settings > General > UTM Configuration
You can now add, edit, or delete:
- UTM Source – e.g., Google, Facebook, Referral
- UTM Medium – e.g., CPC, Email, Social
- UTM Campaign – e.g., Summer Sale, Black Friday
You can also link these UTM values with Lead Sources for better lead attribution when the lead is created manually.

💡 Why this matters
- Track ROI Effectively: Know exactly which ad campaigns or sources bring in the most leads.
- Optimize Marketing Spend: Identify high-performing channels to allocate your budget wisely.
- Improve Sales Follow-ups: Sales teams can personalize communication based on the lead’s origin.
- Measure Conversions End-to-End: From lead to booked job, track campaign success effortlessly.
🛠 How it works
- Capture UTM Parameters:
When a lead is captured from a third-party lead API, Movegistics automatically captures the UTM Source, Medium, and Campaign values embedded in the lead URL.
Example: utm_source - Identifies the traffic source (e.g., Google, Facebook, Newsletter).utm_medium - Identifies the marketing medium (e.g., CPC, Email, Referral).utm_campaign - Identifies the specific campaign name (e.g., Spring_Sale).
"utm_source": "source1",
"utm_medium": "medium1",
"utm_campaign": "campaign1"
- Auto-Mapping with Leads and Work Requests:
The captured UTM data is stored with the Lead record and carried forward automatically to Work Requests, maintaining full marketing traceability from inquiry to booking.
- Third-Party Integration Support:
Settings > Marketing > Third-party lead
UTM parameters can also be sent via API from third-party lead forms or integrations (like Facebook Ads, Google Ads, etc.). Even if your settings don’t have a pre-defined mapping, Movegistics will still store and display the received UTM values.
- Filtering and Reporting:
You can now filter and analyze leads by UTM Source, Medium, or Campaign to see which channels and campaigns drive the most conversions.
🚀 Example Use Case
You’re running a Google Ads campaign called “Holiday Move Special.”
When someone clicks your ad and fills out your lead form, Movegistics will automatically capture:
- Source: Google
- Medium: CPC
- Campaign: Holiday Move Special
Your marketing dashboard can now show exactly how many leads and booked moves came from that campaign.
